Don’t Grow Weary

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
-Galatians 6:9 KJV

“Long insightful post alert.

I sold everything I owned when I moved from Ohio back to Memphis, TN to parent my daughter full time again.

Mama dukes always said, ‘If I have a place to stay, you have a place to stay.’

She also stressed to us while growing up that sometimes you have to sacrifice in the short run to take off in the long run.

I been laying on my mamas couch since February 2021. In the beginning, my pride was hurt. But later I trained my eyes to see the bigger picture and that was the end result; my own roof over my own head.

Bishop Cedric Hunt II once said in a sermon that ‘don’t grow weary in well doing.’ The well doing is now done & TOMORROW I get to do something that’s bigger than me. Move in my first house.

I get to give my daughter her own room & begin making memories that she’ll remember for the rest of her life. Mane. What a feeling …

Moral of the story: Sometimes you have to sacrifice going on the fancy trips, going out all the time & all that other stuff so that you can get what really matters~ ‘the ish together’.
